If you are looking for a more realistic Wiimote Gun, why not build it out of solid steel? That is exactly what Flame500 has done.
“Ever since I heard about the wiimote’s camera based aiming system I thought “wow that would make an epic pistol” and since it came out I had not seen anything that looked like it could still stand up to the abuse of playing and also looked like a convincing pistol. I believe anyone could build this mod given some decent tools and softer/thinner aluminum. The aluminum I had wasn’t really ideal as it was made to be machined and thus was extremely hard. This made cutting it on my cheap as hell bandsaw rather tedious. I started with a template of a colt .45 and traced it out on one of my slabs of 1/2inch aluminum.
