people who have wanted to Play pirate (backup) games have always chipped the wii. Nintendo has known about this for ages (its just another chapter in the hackers Vs Manufacturer).
Yes, a few more people will try this method – but beware as there is a warning on the software saying that you might brick your Wii (however small that chance might be).
That being said, what an excellent piece of work, I’ve only tried it on one wii iso and it worked straight away. That being said, i’ll still be buying my wii games.
You people want to try homebrew channel, its good to play some of the home made games and apps.

Right, so it’s dec 2008, when I have deleted the zelda game and have copied the homebrew file to the wii. I get “files may not have been copied”. And yes, the files are not copied, what have I done wrong?

acutally no, if you get the newest version of the twilight hack from Wiibrew.org you can still install the homebrew channel
@Pipster, if you live in the us, there should be a twighlight hack savefile with “US” labeled under it.

True you can still install the homebrew channel under the new updates from Nintendo but they blocked the installing of new .wads so good luck trying to get the backup loader to run or the dvd player, they should have just included the dvd playing software with the Wii to begin with then there would be little need to hack the Wii unless you wanted to run the back ups or pirate games that is.

i guys, im new in the scene..got for christmas the new black edition (wii pal)…found it great this story of having the possibility to play backup iso games…what tutorial and what advice can you give me on it?
